About Us
Rare Company is a San Francisco-based band that will play for you a set of original songs inspired by the best parts of acoustic Americana: the lyricism of folk, the improvisation of bluegrass, and the harmonies of soul. Rare Company has spent the past year recording their debut full length album and cannot wait to share it with the world. Their songwriting covers a range of topics including the glory of the Sierra mountains (“In the Shadow of These Peaks”), the romantic magic in the little things (“Any Way You Do It”), and the impossibility of getting out of bed (“Gotta Hit Snooze!”). The band members are Garrett Massman (guitar, dobro), Nat Hendel (mandolin), and Ian Kelmartin (bass, guitar).
